| ... ok, apparently I was a little too anxious about GG and anticipated it by a week. :( Unfortunately, I didn't get Megan's IM notice until after I was all curled up and ready to watch... and then was severely disappointed. grrrr.... Tuesday, 9/14/2004 I'm such a horrible friend... all day yesterday I kept thinking about how it's Stacy's 21ST BIRTHDAY!!!! and yet I didn't call her because I was so crazy busy. :( Happy Birthday Stacy Liebchen! Jetzt bist du sehr alt!! ;) So apparently while I was gone in NY, my brother had his first (hopefully only) car accident. Unfortunately for him, the woman in the car he sideswiped was 6 months pregnant with twins! So needless to say, she totally flipped out on him, yelling and screaming and such. Yeah, that didn't make me too happy. But to be honest, it really wasn't Sean's fault because he was cut off by a truck, and he had the choice of either slamming right into the jerk truck that cut him off, or mildly scratching (there were no dents) the jeep cherokee that Mrs. Pregnant was driving. BTW, the culprit/instigator drove off from the scene of the accident. But my brother handled everything amazingly well for only being 18 and having only had his license for 3 weeks. They decided to settle everything outside of insurance so that this paint scratch incident won't shoot Sean's premium through the roof until he's 25. Look what I miss when I go out of town! That's like the time I decided to sleep in a little and that morning it both snowed, and Sadaam was caught! I really shouldn't sleep or go on "vacation". ;) Oh yay! Tonight is the season premiere of Gilmore Girls! I'm such a dork! Of course I'll be watching it, probably with a bowl of popcorn to round out the whole experience. Then, more likely than not, I won't watch anymore episodes the entire season because I be so incredibly busy as always... then I'll have to infringe on Joe's kindness again next July to see if he can get them for me... then GG marathon again! Ok, back to work (it's really slow today *knock on wood*)... Ciao! Sunday, 9/12/2004 I just had the most awesome time in NY! It was so hard to leave because I love being there so much. I've decided that no matter what season, what time of day, or what the weather, it's somehow so beautiful. And I love meeting Joe's friends, who are also great! Friday and Saturday night we went partying, poker playing, drinking (some of us more than others, oops) and had a blast. Though I'm never trusting Annie or Kim again for me to do shots with them. Boy can they hold their liquor. But I also had the unique pleasure of playing poker with Sherri... I have total respect for anyone who can give Joe a run for his money :) and she's awesome and sweet too. Hopefully I'll be able to go back to NY in a week or two. This coming Wednesday night I'm having dinner with Jessica and Jeff, whom I haven't seen in almost 6 months. And Jessica's pregnant!! I feel old... have have friends already married and now having children... wow. Not that I'm in a rush to follow suit; quite the contrary, I'm very happy with where I am right now and Joe is too. I also got a phone call from my friend Annette, and found out both of her daughters are now engaged! We probably chatted for over an hour, catching up on life and all its excitement. She's in Indiana this week, but hopefully we'll get together after she comes home. And *shock* *awe* *drum roll* I get to hang out with Megan this week!! I know, it's freakin' amazing! The funny part is, we had to plan almost two weeks in advance to make time for our schedules to mesh. You know you're too busy when... ;) I started canvassing new car prices (I know they can change) and yeah, this is going to pinch. Come on good paying job! Though speaking of work, apparently I spoke too soon when I said that my Star Sales job was over. I'm working this week in the office because the office manager is on vacation in Las Vegas... I'd rather take her place in Vegas than in Glen Burnie. ;) But I also really like paychecks. Well, I could ramble on and on, but I'm not in the mood tonight. Tomorrow's Monday, I wish I was still in NY, ick. Ciao! ps - ask me about the adorable puppies! i want one, i want one ;) |
