Terms: People Types
Shekinah -- this is a term
used for the normal citizen of Underworld. Also used as a title.
Kether -- enforcers of Underworld. Similar to the police of Overworld,
Kether enforce the laws and regulations of Subterrainia. Also used as
a title.
Hokhmah -- local rulers, representatives of all the districts in Underworld
(Mu'Spell, Cups, Relics, etc...) that run small divisions of Underworld.
Also used as a title.
Binah -- the thinkers and scientists of underworld. Innovative minds
that keep Underworld ahead of the Overworlders technologically. Also
used as a title.
Hesed -- Unconventional priestesses of Underworld, the Hesed are women
that use magic and perform rituals belonging to their following. Also
used as a title.
Rahamin -- Unconventional priests of Underworld, the Rahamin are men
that use magic and perform the rituals belonging to their following.
Also used as a title.
Gevurah -- judges. Also used as a title.
Netsah -- professional negotiators/diplomats that have connections with
key leaders of Overworld to keep Subterrainia hidden. Also used as a
title.
Hod -- The supreme ruler; makes all final decisions in Underworld. Also
used as a title.
Yesod -- Advisors to Hod or Hokhmah. Also used as a title.
Tiphereth -- Artisans; specialists in any/all trades. Also used as a
title.
Terms: Holidays
Ginninghod -- A celebration held on the
ninth of Februrary to celebrate Ghod, who wrestled with the monster of
the Void centuries ago.
Celebrated: Subterrainia over.
Mearlaina -- A celebration held in the month of May to remember the founders
of Cups, and the deeds of important figures in their history.
Celebrated: By Cups shekinah, and any person in Cups at the time.
Water Father Nocturne -- A celebration held on June 18th, in honor of
the Water Father (the god of the Lurii).
Celebrated: By all Lurii belonging to the Cirex religion.
Poust'ang Festival -- A celebration held in the second week of October,
in hopes that the frost/freezing of the waters of the Fountain (Heal)
will not come in the following winter months.
Celebrated: By all belonging to the Heal monastic order.
Sanct Eve -- Held on the Overworld Halloween, this is the true celebration
of the magics, goods, and evils we live in--essentially a celebration
of all we are, or left behind after the exodus.
Celebrated: Subterrainia over.
Ule Tithe -- A celebration of life and gaiety in all lands. December 22nd,
it is the only holiday on which there has been no warring in the history
of Underworld. Perhaps we can keep it that way.
