Project Stampede started out it's life like so many other 'stangs out there. This pristine '99 model was rescued from a used car lot with only 18,000 miles on the clock. It had the usual 4.6 SOHC engine, 5 spd and all of the usual power appointments.

The color is what drew our attention as many car magazines will tell you, the brighter the better and Chrome Yellow is no exception.

The only thing holding this Mustang back were the puny (and no so pretty) 16" wheels and no-name tires that were mounted to them.
One of the first things that we did was to move the spoiler back about three inches giving the spoiler a whole new look. This is a very easy thing to do.

All it takes is a drill and some guts. (Taking apart a perfectly good car always needs guts)

Just unbolt the spoiler and place the end of the spolier so it covers the holes made from the factory, drill new mounting holes and bolt it back up.

Not real hard at all. But it does make a subtle difference. Why they didn't do this at Ford I will never know.
You can notice a difference between the two pics.
