M27 - the Dumbell nebula in Vulpecula, was the first planetary nebula ever discovered. It was found by Charles Messier in 1764. My word - what a difference a good camera makes. This was the result of one night's work, rather than the two months I spent on the previous version Celestron Nexstar 11GPS on the Celestron Wedge, at F6.3, , Captured in Maxim DL: SXV-H9c, 24 x 120s. Guided with Guidemaster through my old 'red' Tasco refractor and my SAC7b. Capture date: 12th August 2007 Processed in MaximDL and PaintShopPro5. |
