One summer Southern contracted to have this Canadian Royal Hudson pull excursions. The engine was quite a sight to see as it pull up to Manassas Station smoking as portrayed in these pictures. It was not a real heavy engine, like the J11 or the 2617. But I suspect because of its large drivers and streamlining, it could be very fast. |
