His teacher in poetry was Ustad-ul-Shuara Doctor Shaikh Mohammad Ibrahim "Khalil". His poetic tendencies are towards religion, that is why, he remained didactic and moralistic, but some of his early aged poems are having romance. Instead this, One has to say very vividly that he is religious poet
