Sindhi Print Media And Our Writers

Its time to analyze that what is going on there in print media. I have been
observing that there has been wave of romanticism in sindhi for long
time. Our writers are hiding truths and verities and prolonging futile
things. And its fact that we have been away of scientific approach in our
writings. I think one thing has been discussed well here in Sindh and that is
"water issue" only or "NFC ward" to some extent.
Otherwise, there is no such a
writer/journalist as Faqeer Mohammad lashari did analyzed politics and
issues of his era.
Our writers have been entangled/entrapped into some profane interests that is
why, they have left to write naked truth. Have any one analyzed that why now
those have commenced to write for Khabroon, who had left to write for long
time. They have started just to be paid perhaps. I am sure that if they are
not paid, they cannot write. It means they are earning from their gigantic
names. What Amar Jaleel is going to give nation through his jokes or symbolic
writings. We have been exhausted to read his such writings. And when we write
these sorts of criticisms in Sindhi news papers, the incharges of the
Editorial pages are editing these things, because they think that its not
good to analyze gigantic in any sense.
No doubt, every writer and journalist is bound to his self-nature, but its
also a fact that what the nation is wanting. That is why, we should analyze
those things, which are apart from our national interests. Our national
interest is to boost up the youth and to give the society a data-oriented
and scientific things. And I have been exhausted to listen self-praises by
some writers, they have been uttering that they have done breakthroughs in
their articles or reports. How cheap that attitude is!
And its also tragedy that friendships are maintained in news papers and that
is why, perhaps, the serious writers have given up to write. Its fact that
Jami Chandio has left to write, I think, he is very serious writer and fit
at his journalistic career. But his dullness is to forget to write for Sindhi
news papers. Inam Shaikh used to write well, but since he has got the post,
he has forget his ideals, whatever, he shared before that post. Amar Sindhu
is just feminist and limited towards the topic of women.Ashfaque
Azar,Manzoor Mirani, Sardar Shah were the byproduct of Aijaz Mangi. .And its
fact that "Aijz syndrome" has made our analytical minds romantic, that is
why, our youth are impressed by those fictitious things.. I think, there is
difference between Romance and Romantic Writings. Romance is as necessary as
we drink water or get sleep, but romantic writing is type of disease, which
leads us to those ideas, as any drug addict can think after taking his doze.
No doubt, Aijaz has remained book worm, and its also fact that his some
articles are of great use and having permanent value and worth..As for as his
writings are concerned, he has written in abundance relating to
intoxicated (Romanticism=Diseased) topics. And its also ponderable that he has
been praising extremism in near past.. He is doing that perhaps he has joined
Ummat. it might be his earning compulsion. Because his livelihood is
depending upon writing articles.
Every learned might have gone through the write-ups of Abdul Qadir junejo in
Kawish, and must have observed that he always enjoys his linguistic skills
as well as reading fiction I mean novels or short stories..Though he could
write scientifically, his mindset does not permit him to write about those
issues, you could be boosted up through which.. I think, Haleem brohi is
stronger than Amar Jaleel, but he has also left to write.. as for his
Halimiat is concerned, his roman script was just fulfillment of theory, that
cannot be practical.
No doubt, Habib jatoi did well in his start, but he has also been slow and
common. As for as Shahryar is concerned, it might write only criticism, which
may relate to his personal clashes and the big thing is that its still fake
in readers eyes.
Javed Qazi is also good writer and played his excellent role in Kawish, but
I felt he became slow in IBRAT, it might be some compulsions behind his
slowness. His best writings are counted here in Yahoo Groups, no doubt he is
prolific writer of Yahoo Groups and its good to write for the groups, but he
should not leave to write for Sindhi news papers. He has good enough circle
of readers, he, therefore, should not disappoint his readers in any case.
Its matter to be gladdened that Imdad Soomro is bilingual writer.. He not
only writes for IBRAT, but shares his same ideas in "Thursday Review" of
Daily Dawn. He is also serious writer, and capable to analyze the things
well, but his given suggestions are very pessimistic always.. he thinks that
journalism cannot be a part of history, he, therefore, keep his read history
away form his journalism, even though he touches both simultaneously.
I think, zulfiqar Halepoto is going well in his writings especially about
"Water Issue", apart from that issue, I cannot say anything about
those.. anyway, he should be single, when he write, because, Nazeer Memon is
also attached with him relating to Water Issue.
I am not counting lot of those writers, who always fill the bellies of news
papers daily.. My purpose is to write this is not to hurt any body in any
sense. My request is this, when our writers will be specific and will do
data-oriented work with some core arguments rather than groppoing into the
well of romanticism.
1-No one is paying heed towards the Biodiversity of Sindh or about its
cities.
2-No one is writing on Technology and Science.
3-No one is writing on Crime specifically.
4-No one is writing on the Inter Net Issues
5-No one is writing on Education
6-No one is writing on Fine Arts
7-No one is writing on Courts and Laws
Lot of subjects and topics are being ignored regularly by the
writers. .Mostly our writers are writing generally apart from being
specific. Our writers have been all in one.. They are touching each and every
thing. I think, that is why, writers are called jack of all trades and master
of none. I think, those who have done M.A in Sociology, should write only on
society and with its related things, which are very necessary.. its not his
function to write for the movies or Cartoons. Because one is M.A means, he is
expert to his subject till his M.A Degree. That is why, its my desire and
suggestion to all the writers should stay at their own bay. Otherwise, they
cannot achieve their required targets in the society or history.
