Message of Javed Qazi From Karachi via Email after delivering  lecture here at Shikarpur dated: 15th March 2004

Dear Hisam!

I came to Karachi back by Shalimar train. It was almost one o' Clock night, I was home. I am thankful of you and the friends for arranging such a nice event and honoured me to deliver the lecture there. I look forward to your criticism regarding on my lecture there. By and large the audience was little un-envisaged by me, though much better, Yet I was gender sensitized audience or in other words a few women. It somehow got me to develop the opnion that Shikarpur has corroded significantly over the years. This Shikarpur did not appear to have any continuity with the Shikarpur prior partition.

I had a look after, I say you good bye, of the city along with Rahim Bux, I had nothing but to weep upon the misery of the city. But since i do not believe on self-pity anymore, i immediately got out of those pathetic feelings. Hisam! we have to put a lot of endeavors. I want to work with you for developing a civil society in Shikarpur.

My dear there are always some considerations that one cannot ignore. Imdad got me late in the morning by an hour. I slept at 3 o' Clock after having a good meeting with journalists in the press club Sukkur and then i had to wake up at six so that to reach at nine. The night he did not allow me to go Shikarpur, the reason he gave me was law and order situation.

And yes I am sorry I went just after the program to
say good bye to you and the friends. Again this was my
friend Imdad and others. So I had in the same time to
leave for Karachi back. In that small time I wanted to
do a lot. Sitting with Rahim Bux for a few minutes was
also very necessary. He is our old communist friend; I
have grown politically under them. He did not leave us
without having a lunch. I left at 3 pm for sukkur.

Hisam, I hope with spacious heart you will look into
my reasons and also accept my apology. But this bond
of relationship will strengthen more over the time.
And still there shall be more opportunities that shall
come on our way. I will come Shikarpur next time and
will stay with you.

Convey my regards to all friends of the relievers
committee.
