Why am I a CHILD of GOD?

I will like to share my short testimony with all of you. God is wonderful to me. God is a great healer to me. May God bless all of you and show you the best way in your life.

I first heard the Gospel from my primary school teacher after PSLE in 1992. She shared 2 good stories, Daniel in the Den and Noah, the Ark. She invited us to her church but my mother did not let me go. Nevertheless, I waited for another chance ...

In 1994, I finally became a christian after my friend shared the Gospel with me. At the beginning, it was difficult to adjust to the christian life because the christian values are different from the moral values that my parents taught me. I was grateful that my friend taught me a lot about God's words. My old cell group gave me a lot of encouragement and support.

Unfortunately, my relationship ended in 1998. So my faith in God was lost. I gave up everything that belonged to the christian world. Lastly, I decided to leave the old church.

I enjoyed my freedom in the world. I involved in the world desires. I was busy with polytechnic studies so I began to forget what the christian living was like.

In June 2000, my ex-polytechnic mate, Eileen, invited me to join the cycling with her cell group at East Coast. I knew most of the cell members and had a chance to meet new friends such as cell leader Swee Keow. It was an enjoyable event.

After that cycling activity, I began to consider coming back to the Lord. But I did not bother about it because I still wanted to enjoy the world desires. I soon realized that I had nothing better to do as I didn't have much benefits from the world desires.

In February 2001, I got a vision. I imagined myself as a tourist visiting a desert place. Suddenly, I saw a colourful rainbow shining. Then 6 angels appeared. I was excited to take a picture but before I could take the pictures, the angels rose to the sky. I could see the Father figure but His face was too shiny to be seen clearly. The angels stood besides the Father.

After that vision, I immediately prayed about it. God asked me to return to Him.

On 25th February 2001, I finally entered the church on my another ex-polytechnic mate, Charlene's invitation since I was supposed to meet her to pass her the zip disk. It was a great joy to re-dedicate myself to God and have a new journey the christian world.

I also will like to thank God for healing my health problem. I was operated on 7th April 2004 to remove the demoid ovarian cyst. I am now recovered. Thank God, I am blessed with a wonderful doctor which God has chosen to heal me. Please continue to pray that there is no relapse. Amen.

Praise God! I was officially baptized at Faith Community Baptist Church on 18th December 2004 at 5.20pm. I felt refreshed with anionted Holy Spirit after baptism. God gave me the verse:
Philippians 1:9 "Pray that your love for each other will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in your knowledge and understanding."
It also happened that it was near to my birthday date! God Bless!

In 2005, I faced another battle. I had undergone the operation on my cervix. Now, I am much better. Thank God, it is now stable. There is always a miracle in every circumstance. Amen!

From the bible: [A woman who had been subjected to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed." Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment.] Matthew 9:20-22

Having a great faith in God can bring many wonderful meanings to your life. Keep on racing towards God's plans. Then, God will heal your every illness that you suffer after you confess your sins.
