REY ADEL'S
SHORT STORY
"TEARS AT SUNSET"

"Hello, Tom. Had a good night sleep?" She was sitting on her bed. Ready to go.

"Hi, Marie. Sure I slept like a log," he lied. He didn't sleep much last night. He would't want Marie to worry, so she told her a simple lie."Hello, Mrs. Vergara. All set? Let's go then."

"Mom, could we stop at Pizza Inn?"

"Okay, I'll bring your things home. Don't tire yourself much, dear." Mrs. Vergara left ahead of them. "Tom, take care of her," she reminded.

Tom lead the way to Pizza Inn, a minute walk from the hospital.

"Just tell me if you're already tired. I'll take you home, okay." Tom cautioned.

"You'll take me home when I want to," she insisted.

He approved then ordered for pizzas and cokes.
