The Teensies
AKA The Smallest Creatures With Big Noses
The Teensies started off their role within the Rayman series as a small collective group of ancient and wise entities. Together, they created a secret and hidden dimension known only to them as the "Hall of Doors", which gives the users of it access to every single region and location across the world. But along with their great and amazing powers, there should also come a hefty price of being very old and a little bit on the absent minded side. In turn, this has suddenly made them forget who their king really is, and some of which even had to resort to spending a good amount of time performing a range of acrobatic dancing techniques in front of the younger of the species until they turn green with uttermost envy and disgust.
By the time the race and battle biathlon came around the corner and the contestants started signing up for their positions, the Teensies' thoughts on wondering who really is their leader still haven't changed one tiny bit. However, they started to get along with each other much better when it came to deciding on how to make their way into the competition. Two of their strongest were nominated to go into it together, and they were mainly seen running in a piggy back motion, rolling along the track for most of the way to maintain their steady acceleration and top speed within the races, and using their height to its advantage for greater viewing distance in the battle sections. In other words, the pair of them knew exactly how to take action, think fast, run/shoot fast and win various events by whatever means necessary.
Then, in Rayman 3, the Teensie species became the main focus locked in cages, and were grown to several different cultures and occupations, as well as allowing the player to know more about what they do in their spare time, including potty training anteaters and renting socks. :) Aside from the usual Grand Minimus (whom all seemed to be wearing crowns these days), the species were expanded into Griskins (ghost teensies), Tufkins (mountain teensies), Sylkins (teensies holding large sticks and dwelling in forests), Nookins (tropical teensies whom speak with a paradise-like accent), and three witchdoctors - Otto, Romo and Garata*. Each of them had their own different personalities, making them a more expandable species than in its previous appearances.

* That name was found in the French version of the game, where Otto and Romo still kept their English names in there.
