Welcome to the Beasley Family Association's Beasley Family History section devoted to marriage records of our ancestors. This part of our History section is intended to help you learn more about your ancestors, as well as preserve part of our family heritage. Most of us will never be able to visit courthouses all over the nation in search of information on our ancestors. This site will help many kinfolk learn where records on their ancestors are located so you can then get actual copies of them.

This site is sponsored by the Beasley Family Association, an international family club for all descendants of the Beasley, Beazley, Beesley, Beezley, Beasle, Beasly family (regardless of spelling). These marriage records have been obtained from a variety of sources, including directly from courthouse records from all over the country, published books and magazines and from lists sent in by relatives. We will eventually add marriage records from England in a different section.

In most of the older records, the date shown is not the actual date of marriage but the date the marriage bond -- or license, was issued. This is especially true of bonds issued by the various colonies during the Colonial period. These are most likely a marriage "bond", a legal promise to marry the girl and if the marriage did not take place, the man and his bondsman forfeited the bond money.
