| TIMES OF REFRESHING MINISTRIES exists because the Church is supposed to operate as an interdenominational, multicultural body of believers whose primary purpose is evangelistic outreach ministry to the world. We are the ambassadors of God, ministers of reconciliation and, as such, have a mandate from Him to make disciples of all nations. Our purpose is to exist as a local church that has "evangelistic outreach ministry", in the form of personal and group witnessing, as our central theme, driving motivation, and catalyst of all that we endeavor to do. Our goal is to build a congregation of Christians who are totally committed to active involvement in evangelistic outreach to reconcile lost mankind to the Lord God Jehovah, through the salvation provided by the Lord Jesus Christ, and accomplished by the power of the Holy Ghost. This church allows full functioning of the gifts recorded in Ephesians 4: 11 and follows the pattern that was established and evident in the Book of Acts, as the Holy Ghost empowered and directed the lives of the 1st century Church. This church is also actively involved in the deliverance ministry and is dedicated to establishing stable Christian converts & nurturing them as they mature and gain the ability to spiritually reproduce themselves. This church places greater emphasis on ministry taking place outside of the sanctuary, than within the four walls. Our purpose is to evangelize the unsaved, root & ground the new converts in the Word of God, and train them to evangelize their own world as a daily lifestyle. Our goal is to teach them to become actively involved in God's work, as opposed to church work, thereby insuring that their service is unto God & not unto man. This church exists as a living witness of the Holy Scriptures recorded in II Corinthians 5: 18-20, "And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ....." And in Acts 1: 8, "But you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses unto me in Jerusalem, and all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the world" The alarm we sound is that, "Time is winding up and the end of the age is fast approaching". |
