| Covenant broken with Israel- | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Daniel 9:27������� He (the Anti-Christ) will make a treaty with the people for a period of one set of seven, but after half this time, he will put an end to the sacrifices and offerings.� Then as a climax to all his terrible deeds he will set up a sacrilegious object that causes desecration, until the end that has been decreed is poured out on this defiler. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The covenant with Israel will be broken and the Anti-Christ will stop all worship except to worship of himself and his statue.� At this time he will look to persecute Israel. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Paul wrote that believers would witness this. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2 Thessalonians 2:3-5� Don't be fooled by what they say (the day of the Lord has already happened).� For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness (the Anti-Christ) is revealed-the one who brings destruction.� He will exalt himself and defy every god there is and tear down almost every object of adoration and worship.� He will position himself in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Abomination of Desecration- | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Matthew 24:15 � The time will come when you will see what Daniel the prophet spoke about: the sacrilegious object that causes desecration standing in the Holy place- reader, pay attention! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Jesus calls for believers to pay attention and recognize what is going on.� We must still be around to see this day.� What is being set up? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Revelation 13:14,15������� And with all the miracles he was allowed to perform on behalf of the first beast, he deceived all the people who belonged to this world.� He (the false prophet) ordered the people of the world to make a great statue of the first beast (the Anti-Christ), who was fatally wounded and then came back to life.� He was permitted to give life to this statue so that it could speak.� Then the statue commanded that anyone refusing to worship it must die. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Jesus warned about the false prophet | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Matthew 24:23-25��������� Then if anyone tells you, 'Look, here is the Messiah', or 'There he is', don't pay any attention.� For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up and perform great miraculous signs and wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even God's chosen ones.� See, I have warned you. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This is the half way point of Daniels 70th week leaving 1,260 days left of tribulation. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Daniel 12:11�12���� From the time the daily sacrifice is taken away and the sacrilegious object that cause desecration is set up to be worshiped, there will be 1,290 days.� And blessed are those who wait and remain until the 1,335 days! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Daniel learns that from the mid-way point 1,260 days into the 70th week, that more days are revealed.� 1,290 days after the mid-point.� Adding 30 days (of mourning click here) and 45 more days for the blessed (time of cleansing click here )�� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Mark of the Beast- | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Revelation 13:16-18������ He (the false prophet) required everyone-great and small, rich and poor, slave and free- to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead.� And no one could buy or sell anything without the mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number representing his name.� Wisdom is needed to understand this.� Let the one who had understanding solve the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man.� His number is 666 (or 616 in some manuscripts) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This will be a time of trouble for the church of God.� Men will not be able to buy or sell anything without the mark of the beast.� We know to stay clear of it and not receive it because of the words of the coming angels. (Explained later) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Israel flees- | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Jesus said after the abomination of desecration is set up for Israel to run for their lives. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Matthew 24:16-22��������� Then those in Judea must flee to the hills.� A person standing outside his house must not go inside to pack.� A person in the field must not return home to even get his coat.� How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for mothers nursing their babies in those days.� And pray that your flight will not be in winter or on the Sabbath.� For that will be a time of greater horror than anything the world has ever seen or will ever see again.� In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, the entire human race will be destroyed.� But it will be shortened for the sake of the elect. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Jesus tells us he will cut short the coming terror for the sake of the elect.� Praise God, he will spare us from his wrath! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Revelation 12:6� And the woman (Israel who gave birth to the Savior) fled into the wilderness, where God had prepared a place to give her care for 1,260 days. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Revelation 12:14� But she was given wings like those of a great eagle.� This allowed her to fly to a place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be cared for and protected from the dragon (Satan) for a time, times, and half a time. (1,260 days) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Once the covenant is broken between Israel and the Anti-Christ they will flee to the place in the wilderness God has prepared for them.� The Jews will stay safe there for the second half of Daniels 70th week.� It is unclear whether Gentiles will be able to find safety there along with the Jews. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Micah 2:12-14������ Someday, O, Israel, I will gather a few of you who are left, I will bring you together again like sheep in a fold, like a flock in it's pasture.� Yes, your land will again be filled with noisy crowds!� Your leader will break out and lead you into exile.� He will bring you through the gates of your captivity, back in your own land.� Your king will lead you, the Lord himself will guide you. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This passage in Micah first describes Israel's people coming home again at a time of peace, but then abruptly God leads them to exile and safety.� It is believed that the Anti-Christ will rebuild the temple a bring new peace again after Ezekiel's World War III.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Isaiah 63:1�� Who is this who comes from Edom, from the city of Bozrah (Petra), with his clothing stained red?� Who is this in royal robes, marching in the greatness of his strength?� 'It is I, the Lord, announcing your salvation!� It is I, the Lord, who is mighty to save!' | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This verse describes Jesus coming out of the city of Petra with his remnant of Israel after a victory.� This occurs after the final battle, but explains what place in the wilderness Israel flees to.� It is the rock city of Petra.� You may have seen it in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| At Petra they are safe from all evil, the forces of the Anti-Christ and even a flood. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Revelation 12:15,16� Then the dragon tried to drown the woman with a flood of water that flowed from it's mouth.� But the earth helped her by opening it's mouth and swallowing the river that gushed from the mouth of the dragon. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 2 Witnesses Slayed- | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Revelation 11:7-10�������� When they completed their testimony, the beast (the Anti-Christ) that comes up out of the bottomless pit will declare war against them.� He will conquer them and kill them.� And their bodies will lie in the main street of Jerusalem, the city which is called 'Sodom' and 'Egypt', the city where their Lord was crucified.� And for three and a half days, all peoples, tribes, languages, and nations will come to stare at their bodies.� No one will be allowed to bury them.� All the people who belong to this world will give presents to each other to celebrate the death of the two prophets that had tormented them.������ | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Angered at not being able to conquer Israel who is hiding at Petra the Anti-Christ slays God's two witnesses with his new power from Satan.� Something he could not do before.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| People will make the day a holiday and exchange presents.� Do not be one of this world that will do this, but be of God's church and wait and watch for the miracle to come. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Resurrection and rapture of the 2 Witnesses- | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Revelation 11:11����������� But after three and a half days, the spirit of life from God entered them, and they stood up!� And terror struck all who were staring at them. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| What a miracle!� The 2 Witnesses are brought back to life by God himself. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Revelation 11:12,13������� Then a loud voice shouted from heaven, 'Come up here!' And they rose to heaven in a cloud as their enemies watched.� And in the same hour there was a terrible earthquake that destroyed a tenth of the city.� Seven thousand people died in that earthquake.� And everyone who did not die was terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Ministry of the 3 Angels- | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Revelation 14:6,7��� And I saw another angel flying through the heavens, carrying the everlasting Good News to preach to the people.� 'Fear God,' he shouted, give glory to him.� For the time has come when he will sit as judge.� Worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all the spring of water.' | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This angel's ministry is to tell people to turn to God before it's too late.� The end is very near when God pulls out all the stops like this.� Jesus could have been talking about this angel's minstry too. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Matthew 24:14�� And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached everywhere throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then, finally, the end will come. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| If anyone had not heard the Good News yet at that time this angel sure would cover it. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Revelation 14:8� Then another angel followed him through the skies, shouting, 'Babylon is fallen- and that great city is fallen- because she seduced the nations of the world and made them drink the wine of her passionate immorality.' | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This angels ministry is to tell the people that God's enemies are about to get it.� The longer version of this angels message is in Revelation 18:1-23. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Revelation 14:9-12� Then a third angel followed them shouting, 'Anyone who worships the beast and his statue or accepts the mark on the forehead or the hand must drink the wine of God's wrath.� It is poured out undiluted into God's cup of wrath.� And they will be tormented with fore and burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the Lamb.� The smoke of their torment rises forever and ever, and they will have no relief day or night, for they have worshipped the beast and his statue and have accepted the mark of his name.� Let this encourage God's holy people to endure the persecution patiently and remain firm to the end, obeying his commands and trusting in Jesus. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This angels ministry is two fold- to warn people the penalty of the mark of the beast and beast worship, and also to encourage God's children (us!) to stand firm in the persecution. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Persecution is coming.� The Anti-Christ and his false prophet seek all men to bow their knee and receive the mark.� If you refuse you will be killed.� Stand form, and be ready! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The FIFTH SEAL- | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Matthew 24:9-13����������� Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed.� You will be hated all over the world because of your allegiance to me.� And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other.� And many false prophets will appear and will lead many people astray.� Sin will be rampant everywhere, and love of many will grow cold.� But those who endure to the end will be saved.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Don't fall away, stand strong.� This passage doesn't say you can lose your salvation but that those who stand firm and endure the pain prove they are saved.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Revelation 6:9-11���������� And I when the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of all who had been martyred for the word of God and for being faithful in their witness.� They called loudly to the Lord and said, 'O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long will it be before you judge the people who belong to this world for what they have done to us?� When will you avenge our blood against these people?'� Then a white robe was given to each of them.� And they were told to rest a little longer until the full number of their brothers and sisters-their fellow servants of Jesus- had been martyred.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Many Christian believers will be chased down, and killed for their faith.� It will be a time when Jesus will see who truly loves him, who is his true bride? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Revelation 17:6� I could see that she (the great prostitute) was drunk -drunk with the blood of God's holy people who were witnesses for Jesus.� I stared at her completely amazed.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The SIXTH SEAL- | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Revelation 6:12,13�������� I watched as the Lamb broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake.� The sun became as dark as black cloth, and the moon became as red as blood.� Then the stars of the sky fell to the earth like green figs falling from trees shaken by mighty winds.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Matthew 24:29�� Immediately after those horrible days end, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of heaven will be shaken. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Both John and Jesus explain the final sign before the day of the Lord the same.� Many places in God's word it describes these cosmic disturbances as the final sign before the day of the Lord.� The Day of the Lord is God's coming wrath.� The word 'wrath' appears in the book of Revelation eight times, but never before the 6th seal.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| ����������� Then he said to me, 'These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation.� They washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb and made them white.� That is why they are standing in front of the throne of God, serving him day and night in his Temple.� And he who sits on the throne will live among them and shelter them.� They will never agin grow hungry or thirsty, and they will be fully protected from the scorching noontime heat. (A strange statement unless it points to them being saved from the heat plague)� For the Lamb who stands in front of the throne will be their Shepherd.� He will lead them to the springs of life-giving water.� And God will wipe away all their tears. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The rapture will be a joyous day for all Christian when they face their Savior Jesus face to face.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Luke tells us to watch for and pray for this day.� | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Luke 21:36������� Keep a constant watch.� And pray that, if possible, you may escape these horrors and stand before the Son of Man. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| All Christians will receive new bodies on this day, the remaining alive with me caught up and transformed, and the dead in Christ shall rise and be transformed. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 1 Corinthians 15:51-52�� But let me tell you a wonderful secret God has revealed to us.� Not all of us will die but we will be transformed.� It will happen in a moment, in the blinking of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown.� For when the trumpet sounds, the Christians who have died will be raised with transformed bodies.� And then we who are living will be transformed so that we will never die. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This rapture comes after we see the abomination of desecration. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This rapture will happen before God's wrath is poured on the earth. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Romans 5:9��� And since we have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God's judgment. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Revelation 6:14-17 And the sky was rolled up like a scroll and taken away.� And all of the mountains and all of the islands disappeared.� Then the kings of the earth, the rulers, the generals, the wealthy people, the people with great power, and every slave and every free person- all hid themselves in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.� And they cried to the mountains and the rocks, 'Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb.� For the great day of their wrath has come, and who will be able to survive?' | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
