OUR BELIEF AND WHAT WE TEACH: We believe that: 1. The Holy Bible, consisting of 39 books of the Old Testament and 27 books of the New Testament is the inspired Word of God. We take the Bible as a final authority in all matters concerning Christian conduct and work. (2 Timothy 3:16, & 17 v., Proverbs 30:5,6v., Revelation 28:19-20v.). 2. The Godhead consists of three separate and distinct persons, possessing separate and recognizable personalities and qualities, perfectly united in one. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are not just three names for one person, but are different persons in the Godhead. (Matthew 3:16-17v., 2 Corithians 13:14v., Matthew 28:19-20v.). 3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Chris, His virgin birth, His sinless life and vicarous and atoning death through shedding His blood, His bodily resurection, His personal return in power and glory (Mark 13:45v., I Peter 3:18v., Luke 24:5, 51v., I Thessolanians 4:16-17v., Acts 24:15v.) ' 4. We believe in the salvation of the ost sinful men through shedding His blood, His bodily resurrection by the Holy Spirit, salvation is by Grace through faith (John 1:12-13v., John 3:16v. Romans 3:24-26v., Acts 13:39v.) 5. We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 12:4-5v.) 6. We believe in water baptism, not as a means of salvation but subsequent to salvation, and as a public declaration of belief in the death of Christ and His resurrection from teh ead as being true (Matthew28:19-20v., Acts 2:38v., Romans 6:1-9v.) 7. We believe in Holy Communion as an ordinance of the church (I Corinthians 11:23-26v.) 8. We believe in teh Baptism of the Holy Spirit as the endument of the power from on high upon the believer. We believe in the operation of the both fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit in teh individual and cooperative life of the church. 9. We believe that evangelism is a God given and God ordained ministry for every believer (Matthew 28:19-20v.,Mark 16:15v., Luke 24:46-49v.). 10. We believe in personal existence of Satan whose plan is to supplant God and frustrate His purpose and whose final end is eternal punishment (Matthew 4:3-11v., Revelation 20:11v.). 11. We believe that marriage is binding for life Monogamy is the uniform teaching of the Bible. Polygamy is contrary to the perfect will of God. The Bible forbids a believer marrying an unbeliever (Genesis 2:24v., Deut. 7:1-4v., Joshua 25:11-13v., 2 Corinthians 6:14-18v., Proverbs 31:10-31v.). 12. We believe that the resurrection of the dead is taught in the Bible as clearly as the immortality of the soul. Every individual who has ever lived will be resurrected , some to honor, and glory and others to everlasting shame and contempt (Job 19:25-27v., Psalm 71:20v., Isaiah 26:19v., Daniel 12:2v., John 5:2829v., I Corinthians 15: 12-57v.). |
