| page 4 THE REVELATION OF THE HOLY TRINITY: HEAVENLY KING CONTINUED FROM PAGE 3 God is living and life-giving, a typical expression of the Eastern Orthodox tradition which insists on Life and dynamics in personal and collective life. The Hebrew words are used every day during the Morning Service but always at the "Qidush Levanah", the Blessing of the New Moon, which begins with the following words: "David King of Israel is alive [living] and life-giving] = David Melekh Yisrael Khay veQayam". This has to be felt in a very profound and faithful way by the Christian believers whose life and life-giving strength are provided by Our Lord Jesus Christ. We shall have the opportunity further along to explain these very particular words since they are deeply connected with Our Saviour. The revival, on a daily basis of our existences in a miracle, a wonderful experience expressed by this ancient prayer to the "Heavenly King". |
