When we left high school,
We left the arms of our parents,
And stepped into a world of the unkown.
We thought we were indestructible,
We thought we'd never die,
Until something happens,
And suddenly you're taken out of our lives.
Immortality separates us,
And we're no longer together,
And we realize just how much it meant.
I look back on all those years,
All those years I've known you,
The things we could have said,
The things we could have done.
All those wasted moments,
Vanish into the sun.
Tears fill my eyes,
When I think of your beautiful face,
And now you're gone,
You've left without a trace.
A part of me thanks God,
You're gone but you're happier.
I won't be selfish,
I know where you're at,
You're embraced in his arms,
And I could never take that away.
You may be gone,
And we grieve today,
But we'll see you again,
In another time, a better place.

We miss you Pat!

Pat, a second took you away from us, and though time may heal all wounds... it won't take your memory away.  I'll always remember your version of "Heal The World" in fifth grade and your quick wit.  You will always be in our hearts and in our minds.  It takes something like this to remind us how much people really mean to us.
