1. You know that ever year at homecoming, Franklin High will toilet paper Hanson and Hanson will try to retaliate but will fail. 2. Everyone you know is related to a Boudreaux or a Thibodaux (or both). 3. You work (or have worked) at Wal-Mart, Stage, or Winn Dixie or know someone who does/has. 4. You wonder when they'll get the Teche Theater finished. 5. You've been involved in or watched Franklin Little Theater. 6. You've had to wait in line to check out at Winn Dixie even though there are only 7 people in the store because there are only 2 cashiers (even though they have like 12 check out lines). 7. You ever ate at Iberia Cash Grocery or Danny's Fried Chicken. 8. You ever played Delcambre in a sporting event and most of the jeers were about shrimp (We want shrimp gumbo tonight!) 9. You know the last time Hanson won a football championship, their parent's played. 10. You ever tried to go to the Hanson website for the past 4 years and every item you clicked on was "under construction." 11. You know that the Bornes, Steils, and Scelfos practically own the town. 12. You ever wanted more variety in your love life so you date someone from New Iberia or Morgan City. 13. You go to a high school basketball game because its the only thing to do. 14. You've ever eaten at the China Buffet because its the only Chinese food in town other than Lily Garden and Bingo's (which you know both of those are gas stations but you eat there anyway). 15. You either buy your gas out of town or at Diamond Shamrock. 16. You only shop in town for last minute items. 17. You travel an hour to go to the mall to hang out. 18. You know Super Wal-Mart in New Iberia is a happening place to be and go there only because you are bored. 19. You've ever been to Slick Willy's to play pool because the pool place in Franklin is also a bakery. 20. You know the black mortuary is on Willow Street (the one with the yellow limo) and the white mortuary is on Main Street. 21. You're white and you never want to go down 9th street (even in the daytime). 22. You can't wait to get out of town but you end up living in it or near it your entire life... or wish you were. 23. You can remember who went to preschool with you and most of them are still your friends. 24. You know about the Homecoming Queen Upset of '99 at Hanson. 25. You've ever been on or watched KFHS-TV. 26. You've ever called (or know someone who has) in a math problem that equaled 69 on the Homework Channel (brought to you by KFHS-TV). 27. You or your parents know every single restaurant that was in the Golden Corral Building (including Golden Corral). 28. You know the only fast food restaurants are McDonald's, Burger King, Sonic, and Subway and they're all on Main Street. 29. You don't feel like shopping for clothes at the mall so you go to Stage (which everyone knows is right next to The Family Dollar Store). |
