After High School I joined the Army to serve willingly for my country. Two years after I returned from my tour of duty, I joined the City of Chicago, when that pride and confidence in the Union was still there. I was laid off in 1982 after working for two years, but the Union was there for me and found me a job with the Park District. When I returned to the City in 1990, the union was changing, and it became more visible as time passed.
My goal as your board member is to restore our Union back to when our people could feel proud to be a member, and be glad to talk to me and my fellow board members.
