The View from Here So my path has brought me here today. After nine years of living an Orthodox Jewish life, I bring you something that I think is amazing: the return of the Jewish people to the land of Israel during these days of redemption.
While raising money in the U.S. in the Bible Believing Christian community, I have come across amazing people. Their stories vary but the question is always in my mind. Are they also Jewish sparks waiting to be ignited, to move further along their path, or perhaps they are Righteous Gentiles?
Let me tell you some stories of who and what I encounter.
There are the people in Minnesota who have Friday night Shabbat service. There are people in North and South Carolina, Kansas City, L.A., who no longer go to Church and hold their services on Saturday. There are people in Mississippi that believe that G-d has called them to raise millions of dollars to give to the Jewish people in Israel. Unconditionally. No strings and they mean it. There are people in Georgia who have built a safe house for Jews because they believe they will need them when America turns against them. They are being built all over the states. I have seen one of them. They have developed a network and have what they call "Gateway Cities" on the East Coast to house Jews and try to get them to Israel when the time comes. The Gentiles are preparing; they know that Israel is "likened to Noah's Ark" in the world today. They dream of perhaps coming one day to Israel to live.
I know of Christians who do not believe that Jesus was G-d.
Bible believing Christians see us, the Jewish people, as the priestly nation, the holy ones of Israel, G-d's chosen people. They know that when we get our act together, the world will fall into place. They know that when we stop fearing the nations and follow what G-d tells us to do that the world will be a peace. They know that we must stop fighting among ourselves and worship G-d in the fullness of who we are.
There are times when I feel so privileged to be counted among the Jewish people that I cry out to G-d and thank Him ~ Yes, THANK HIM ~ for counting me worthy, somehow, someway to know that He is the G-d of Yisroel.
I have been told more than once by a person who believes in the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob ~ "we are looking to you, the Jewish people, as the leaders of the world….please do what G-d commands you to do." They quote Zechariah 8: 23, "In those days ten men from all the nations will grasp the Tzitzi of a Jew saying, 'Let us go with you, for we have heard that G-d is with you.'"
I know also that just the opposite is out there in the Christian community. I have met them also. They feel they have all the answers and the religious Jew is a "lost soul" who will wake up one day and smell the coffee….Oh, Yea…..Jesus is the Messiah, A Christian leader once told a group of Christians in my presence that Jews know the Gospel better than many Christians…..they have heard it often enough.
One must understand that you do not throw the baby out with the bath water. Sift…..you must always be sifting.
There are those lining up against Israel and the Jewish people. Even as I write this, seminars are being held, put together with Arab money, where so called "Evangelicals" …….the Lutherans, Catholics, Episcopals, Presbyterians ……are changing the history of the Tanach and saying the Arabs received the birthright to the land of Israel because the Jewish people forfeited it.
The lines are being drawn all over the world. The basic thread that I see in all this is that those who believe in the G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob ~ and all that that means ~will be together in one pot. Whether we like it or not, the gentiles will be bringing us home to the Land of Eretz Israel on their shoulders and in their arms. They have a role in these days; we must acknowledge it and understand it so that we are not found ignorant.
There is a stirring and it is from HaShem. Only HaShem could know where all the sparks are and He is igniting them all over the world. We are coming home, home at last. The treasure awaits us in the Castle, the riches of the secret places, and all we must do is say YES. HaShem is faithful to be with Continue
