Part 1 : Finding the Target
"So, when do you think he'll show?" Dani asked. She was looking absolutely bored while swirling her Cosmopolitan drink in hand. A rough grunt was her only reply from Zw�lf. With a roll of her eyes and a yawn, she turned to look at the door, and watched as a man with two or three guards entered the room.
"I think," Tomm said as he placed his drink gently down on the table. "That's our man."
Zw�lf, already tired of waiting for the newly-arrived guest, rose to give him a "friendly greeting." But, noticing the drunken look on his face, Dani grabbed his arm to hold him back.
"Not yet, big guy," she said. As she looked to seek Tomm's advice on what to do, she saw him rise, and with a worried look on her face, followed cautiously behind him through the dance floor of the club.
"We need to get closer. We must keep an eye on him at all costs. We can't risk losing him again," Tomm said.
"I don't see why we can't just make a quick kill of him," replied Zw�lf. "I'm pretty sure that a true vampire like you could take him on by yourself."
"I, unlike you, am cautious about my moves; you just kill for the bloody hell of it."
"Well, at least I don't skirt around my prey-" Zw�lf said with an impatience in his voice.
"Now boys..." Dani was tired of the constant bickering between the two. Lately with the pressure of having to capture this David guy, the tension had been weighing down on all three of them.
Count on the girl to calm these two down, she thought. "We are all tired of this guy, but Tomm is right: we have to be careful. We can't risk losing this guy again."
"Of course you'd take his side, you always do," Zw�lf grumbled.
"Here, maybe I can make it up to you." Dani used her vampire power of seduction to call two girls over their way. "Have fun wolf-boy." Then, she turned and left.
"See that? I told you this is the best way to meet girls: just get Dani to do the work for us," Zw�lf whispered with all signs of amusement shown clearly on his face.
"Well, have fun." Tomm walked away from the table, eyeing the three suspiciously.
I know how he can be; he probably has the two charmed for him already. Indeed, both girls were practically plastered to Zw�lf in every way.
Tomm walked over to the bar closest to the guy they were after. There, he bumped into the "most beautiful girl he ever saw." Hidden in the shadows, Dani saw all of what was happening.
Men are so pathetic. This must be the special one Tomm goes after. Tomm was already talking to her, making her giggle like he made all the others before her. Dani just shrugged and turned to look at what everyone else was doing. That is when she noticed that a really large guy was heading in her direction, and he did not look too happy.
Uh-oh. He looks like trouble waiting to happen. I wonder who the poor sucker will be. She was so bored, that even a fight would interest her at this point. But that was before she noticed that he was staring straight at Tomm...
