My big brother, Max, died at the age of 40 on 21 January 2000, of Multiple Myeloma,
a cancer of the plasma cells (in the blood). Max was an avid reader, gamer, and collector. He worked for Nintendo for several years as a Game Play Counselor and in the Correspondence unit. He received several commendations and absolutely loved his job. He graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1977 and received his Bachelor's degree from Eastern Washington University.
My brother and I were always VERY close, and I miss talking to him every week, I miss getting e-mail from him, and I miss calling him every time I hear a stupid joke that I want to pass on. Even though he's been gone for more than three years, I still think about him all the time. I really miss him a lot.

Dad retired from the US Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant (SMSgt), then worked for Montgomery Ward for 19 years. He was originally from northwestern Pennsylvania, growing up on a farm near the town of Girard, which is near the town of Erie, on the shore of Lake Erie. Lake Erie is one of the five "Great Lakes" in North America. The others are Huron, Ontario, Michigan, and Superior.

See the US Map for the exact location of Washington.
Mom works full time as an accountant.
Mom was born in New Hampshire and grew up in Massachusetts, which are both New England states in the northeastern part of the US. Her family moved to Spokane in the 1950's, and that's where she met my Dad. Since he was in the Air Force, we moved around a lot, but we always ended up back in Spokane, near Mom's family.

Roger Williams, of course, is the guy who founded Rhode Island, the smallest state in the USA.
