We are located in the beutiful southwestern section of the Rheinland Pfalz. The area around Merzalbe is known as the Grafensteiner country and is highlighted with valleys, meadows and forests. This affords many opportunities for hiking. The Beckenhof Biergarten located nearby will allow you to enjoy a break from your hiking. Here you can enjoy the atmosphere of the Rheinland Pfalz.
High over Merzalben is the Graefenstein castle ruins. It is one of the best maintained castle ruins in the Rheinland Pfalz.
The castle Berwattstein in Erlenbach is the only castle in the region that is still inhabited.
There are many interesting things to see in Burge.
The citadel in Bitsch is very close, located just over the border with France. There you will find a museum and the beutiful Wissembourg in the Elsas.
