Welcome to ....THE FORD GALLERY
The 1940 Ford --

This is the 1940 Ford 2-door Coupe in a North Carolina Highway Patrol paint scheme. The 1940 Ford is a favorite of hot rodders everwhere. So, it seems fitting that this Ford be set up to catch them.

The 1958 Ford Edsel --

Named after Henry Ford's son, Edsel, who died at the age of 49 in 1943. Edsel was envisioned to be an entirely different division of the Ford Motor Company. Perhaps, it could have been the Saturn of it's day. Unfortunately, the Edsel was released in the midst of a recession and it's unusual styling turned off many buyers. Now, it is known as one of the great marketing disasters of all time. This model is based upon an example owned by the Allan Park, Michigan, police department.

The 1961(?) Ford Galaxie --

This is a
Johnny Lightning(TM) model of the actual patrol car used by Sheriff Andy Taylor and Deputy Barney Fife in one of the greatest TV shows in history--the Andy Griffith Show. The Ford Galaxie was made from 1959 through 1974 and was a wonderful American muscle car. Ford Motor Company provided a new model for each year of the show's production. This example appears to be a 1961 Ford Galaxie and probably had the 292 cubic inch engine.
