The 1966 Chevy Nova --

The Nova was conceived in 1962 as Chevrolet's compact offering and import fighter. It was also pressed into service as a Mustang fighter until the Camaro & Firebird could take the field. Also called the Chevy II, the Nova was appealing to enthusiasts as several sport packages were offered and it was relatively easy for the street rodder to install larger engine and transmission packages. The little deuce coupe never really had the handling to cut it on road racing tracks, but it's lightweight helped it excel on the dragstrip. This one sports NASCAR racer Terry Labonte's color scheme in an intriguing "what if" version from the
Racing Champions (TM)!

The 1969 Chevy Nova SS --

The Nova grew up during the 60s. Although the SS was first offered in 1962, this version ended the decade. It offered a better handling chassis that was up to the wide variety of power options available. One SS powerplant offered 396 cubic inches.... Spanish translations be damned, the SS offer va, va, and more va!
