How to wear a tshirt #12
Now that you've made lots of things out of old tshirts, you might have several scraps lying around. Here's a tidy idea: use them to wrap up gifts!
Materials:
tshirt
scissors
needle and thread (optional)
safety pins
glue (optional)
ribbons
1. To wrap a wine bottle, take a piece of tshirt that wraps fully around the bottle and is a few inches longer. Lay the cloth flat, place the bottle on it, and fold the cloth over it on the bottom. Then roll the folded cloth around the bottle and safety pin in place. Tie a ribbon around the neck and present!
2. To make gift bags, sew pieces of tshirt together inside out and turn them around to make little pockets. Attach ribbon to make handles.
3. Other gifts can be wrapped entirely with the cloth. Sew together multiple pieces if needed. Wrap and secure with safety pins or glue. Tie up with ribbon.
Variations: piece together different patterns and pieces to make interesting patterns of wrap. You can also cut strips of tshirts to make "ribbons."
