| In the Independent (United Kingdom) of 2/6/02, columnist Deborah Orr says of the Gehring farce, This trial undermines the most basic of principles on which the notion of justice is based. You GO, girl. Orr continues, The idea that a male teacher accused of having raped a male or female pair of 14- and 15-year-old siblings would be allowed to walk free from court, and yet still be reported in the press as quite obviously guilty of other similar offences, and not considered an outrageous risk to the public, is risible. Orr notes, The law of the land already dictates that boys do not deserve the same protections from predatory adults that girls do. This is the same law that applied under matriarchy. Dots connected, we have ignition. What the law says right now, Orr continues, is that a woman enticing a 14-year-old boy into intercourse is neither a rapist nor a paedophile, while a man doing the same is both ... this in turn may lead us to question the sacred orthodoxy that rape is rape is rape, all of it driven by the same motivations, all of it equally heinous. Credit due and given to Ms. Orr. Its a spark. But its not bright enough to see by yet, not in this hole weve dug ourselves. Still, Orrs thinking is a quantum leap from the misandry so favored by the Wests feminized media. Yet Orr fails to extend the trials double-standard to the mass demonization and criminalization of manhood in the West. Typical of commentators on both Left and Right, Orrs interest is not restriction of the Police State against masculinity, but in expansion of it to the feminine. Rather than demanding that we all do some serious soul-searching questioning our self-serving assumptions, and their hidden power agendas, surrounding sexuality, vengeance, power and justice Ms. Orrs suggests more Zero Tolerance will do the trick. Pointing out in print that males are second-class citizens before the law is admirable. But as America is witness, extending the Wests Cult of Victimization to boys, and Perpetrator Mania to females, will only drive us deeper into codifications, cops, cages and kultural khaos. We insist upon sentencing ourselves to perpetual war, white hats against black hats, a People broken into victims and perps -- Im Good and youre Evil. The old Manichean dead-end. Upside: Lots of psychic comfort and moral superiority, plus that satisfying rush of vengeance. Downside: More dead children. Lots more. Take your pick. Lets Play Pretend Gather round now, children. Lets play a game. Its called Pretend. Lets Pretend that a twenty-six-year-old male teacher had sex with two females, aged fourteen and fifteen. Unlike Ms. Gehring, the only thing said male would be cleared of are the linings of his rectum and lower intestines, stretched over a prison cot. For the remainder of his life, in prison or out, innocent or not, he would be hounded as a sexual predator, despised as the lowest form of existence. In America, the State would install signs on his front lawn, advising the universe of his evil. Whatever was left of his life after emerging from the man-cages if he ever did so would be a shattered nightmare. At this, the citizens of America and the West applaud with gusto. There is no crime so despicable as child molestation. String the bastard up by his balls. Unless the molester is female, we mean. Oh, uh, and unless the victims are male um, yeah, Unless that too. Sorry. We almost forgot. When jurisprudence is divided into genders by Unless Unless Unless, strong men used to call it tyranny. Before that they called it matriarchy, and decided in self-preservation to put it on hold for a few millennia. What is the difference between such a Gynocratic State and apartheid? Is this not yet another criminalization of maleness itself, gendercide under mask of moral righteousness? Granted, Ms. Gehring is skeer-ee. If she touched me, Id fetch the welding torch and clean the wound. |
