| But if you think those boys were victims of rape, then you were never a fifteen-year-old boy -- not a heterosexual one, not on this planet. I was the smallest kid in my high-school class, and by the age of fifteen be assured that, if necessary, I could have whipped the ass of any woman in town attempting to force me into sex. And I grew up in a shipyard town. Some of them mamas were tough. Unfortunately, none of them tried to "force" me. Can we suspend our ongoing cultural denial for just a few painful moments? Who was raped in the Gehring pony-show? MALES were raped. JUSTICE was raped. Gehring rubs mens faces in the sexual and legal double standards rotting the West. After trial, she admitted having sex with other boys. No jails for Maam, though. No Pervert Signs on her front lawn. For everybody in the System court-reporters, police, feminists, lawyers, media, courts, expert witnesses, photographers, ad infinitum, ad nauseum the Gehring fiasco was a sweet deal. Everybody made out like bandits. The paychecks just keep rollin in, week after week. Even Ms. Gehring and the boys got what they wanted laid. The rape was the trial itself. The Gehring acquittal further marginalizes Western males on the fluctuating Value Scale of Humanness, inching them ever toward the bestial, the sub-human, the, the well, the Less Than Female. You Wont Believe This One In a recent Knight-Ridder release, James Lakely quotes a mother from Boise on local adolescent girls: I see midriffs, shirts with necklines way too low, and all these leopard fabrics. They look like theyre lounge singers whether you go to K-Mart or an expensive department store, all I see are risqu outfits. This is a mother in Idaho, folks. Not Laurel Canyon. Eye-duh-hoe. Eye as in potatoes, hoe as in potatoes -- not streetwalkers. Duh as in duh. Another mother in the same article moans, [My daughter] loves to wear short skirts and tops where the belly button shows what happened to my little girl? The skimpy shirts worn by adolescent girls across America read Angel. Note the potent, dangerous mixture of sexuality with unconsciousness and denial. While adolescent girls can be genuinely kind, they are also often cruel. Typically, they are self-absorbed and willful not especially angelic qualities. Girls tee-shirts advertised in American newspaper inserts, and on the shelves at department stores, make other unambiguous statements on their chests: Princess. Boys are Out. Girls Rule. One sheer tee goes straight for the jugular. Got Candy? it asks. "Got Candy?" Got Candy?! On a ten-year-old-girls tee-shirt?! What a shuck-and-jive. If there were a bucket of ice water in this cultural inferno Id throw it in the Witchs face. When girls are kidnapped and hurt -- really terribly hurt -- the overwhelming motivation is sex. S-E-X. When girls are snatched from their bedrooms, subjected to horror, and killed, the overwhelming motivation is not murder, nor even the desire to injure. The motivation is sex. Feminism lied to you, for its own purposes. What a surprise. Got Candy? Yikes. It's deniable, too. After all, it's just an innocent tee-shirt. A Berlin Wall separates our cultural cerebral hemispheres. Idaho mothers in Wal-Mart clothing sections ask, What happened to my little girl? When some half-mad, inflamed loser is driven to kidnap and murder a child, hysterical Mom asks the same question: What happened to my little girl? In both instances, the answer is the same. You happened to her, Mom -- you and Sistah Oprah and Grrrl Power happened to her. But worse, far worse than that, she loves wearing those clothes. Uh oh. Lessee. Mom buys the clothes for her little girl, and Mom dresses her little girl. Mom, in her runaway raging power, is what happened to all of us in America. For the past generation-and-a-half our children have been raised, conditioned, and dominated almost exclusively by females. Paternal influence is negligible, and the influence of authentic masculinity virtually nil. As in those horrid beauty pageants for tykes, Mom denies her childs sexuality while, covertly, benefiting from the eroticisation of her own children. Can we say pimp? Can we say JonBenet? We THOUGHT you could. |
