Getting Started

Organize a Team!

Make a list of people and tell them about the RELAY FOR LIFE. Team members can come from family, friends, and co-workers.

Choose your team captain! This fearless leader will be the liason between the American Cancer Society and your team.

Collect your team member's information. Using the appropriate roster form, submit your team member's information to the American Cancer Society. You can do this online using the above link.

Register a Team!

In order to "officially" be registered for the RELAY FOR LIFE, each team member must submit an entrance fee. Whether you divide the registration fee among team members or request a company pay it for you, our registration fee will guarantee your participation in this exciting event. Using the appropriate registration form, send your team's registration fee to the American Cancer Society.

Raise Money!

RELAY FOR LIFE is all about fundraising! Each team member is encouraged to collect at least $150 in donations. Decide how your team will raise money and get started. With individual team members collecting and team fundraising where all team members participate, you will reach your team fundraising goal in no time at all! The important thing is to start fundraising early!

Prepare to Have Fun!

Each team is given a campsite, so bring a tent or camper so your team can enjoy all the festivities. RELAY FOR LIFE is full of activities and games to keep everyone upbeat and entertained well into the wee hours of the morning. Invite neighbors, friends, and everyone else you know to come to RELAY FOR LIFE and cheer on your team! Mingle with other RELAY FOR LIFE participants and make new friends. When it's your turn, walk or run on the track with a smile knowing you're doing your part to fight cancer!
