People I know in the SCA
Tim Kenna, Michael Bonsor and Little John at Pennsic War
The SCA is the Society for Creative Anacronism. Simply put these guys and gals dress up in period medievil garb and armor and whack the hell out of each other with ratan swords. Every year there is a war called Pennsic where all the kingdoms come to fight each other in PA. Many of my friends look forward to these two weeks in August as a religious holiday. Despite their clever efforts I have yet to become a "fighter." I must admit however, they are a very fun group to hang out with.

I was first introduced to the SCA in Law School. The local Chapter of the SCA is located in Troy, NY on the RPI campus. The household name is Regnesfolke, which is known all throughout the Kingdom as a rag-tag group of rouges and scoundrels. The household device for Regnesfolke is a viking ship on a blue background. The unoffical song of Regnesfolke is Violate the Hampster. Click on the link if you dare but don't say I didnt warn you!
