Paranjothi Mahan's
Kundalini Yoga
At the base of the spinal cord of the human body, lies the primordial power. This power known as Kundalini is described as a coiled serpent lying latent in the Muladara Chakra in between the anus and the gential organs, the essence of which comes from sperm in the case of male and the vital fluid in the case of females.
When it flows downward from the place of origin, it is for the purpose of procreation, most of the energy is wasted in the form of sexual desires.
When this power is aroused and awakened by a Guru it flows upwards along the spinal cord and reaches its destination at the summit.
When Kundalini flows upwards it fertilise at the Third Eye Spot. The Ajna and the Sahasrar Chakras are activated. Only an enlightened Guru will be able to activate the Kundalini. Once the Kundalini is awakened, the person who concentrates and meditates consistently at the Third Eye Chakra (Ajna Chakra) is able to destroy the KARMAS of all his past lives.
Steps in awakening the Kundalini
Meditation- learn to concentrate on the Ajna Chakra which is between the eyebrow.
Initation by an Enlightened Guru .
There are 3 stages in the initation.
First Stage
The awakening of the Kundalini Sakthi (Power) by the Master by touching
the base of the Spinal column. The master with this initiation opens the
disciple Third Eye (which is between the eyebrow). The disciple is taught by the master the process
of concentrating ones thought on the Ajna Chakras. The first stage of
initiation is to be observed for 14 days, by meditating twice daily for 15 minutes each session and to abstain
from sexual relations.
Second Stage
The Kundalini Power is redirected to its original place by the Master.
The disciple is taught to concentrate on the sacral point during
meditation, after one week one may go to the Third Stage.
Third Stage
The Master arouse the Kundalini Sakti of the disciple from the base of
the Spinal Column and direct it along the Spinal Chord to the back of
the head and than to the top of the head (Crown Chakra).

Breathing
The disciple should not concentrate on his breathing while concentrating
on his 3rd Eye Chakra. If ones thought is focused within the 3rd
Eye Chakra his breathing slowly and gradually is reduced to a stage when
he will not be conscious of it.
