Someone made a very valid point at the Message Board. We do use a good deal of Japanese words in our FanFiction and no, not everyone knows what those words mean. So here's our way of trying to help you out!
Now, remember that for anything in Japanese that's Ninja related, you can go to NarutoFan.com and find the information there.
Honorifics
-chibi - little (tiny, mini)
-chan - also little (as in younger, smaller or female)
-kun - friendly tag for male peers
-san - polite honorific (Mr., Mrs., Miss or Ms. used for anyone you're not close to)
-sensei - teacher or doctor (lawyers, etc)
-shishou - master (usually martial arts)
-dono - step below -sama (ex: the boss' daughter)
-sama - honorific for a lord, lady or person of power
Basics
Arigatou - thank you
Daisuki - love
gozaimasu - polite tag ("arigatou gozaimasu")
Hai - yes
Hidoi - cruel
Iie - no
Iiya - no (stylized)
Onegai - please (Onegai shimasu "please do")
Sankyuu - thank you
Suki - like (sometimes love)
Uso - "no way" (literally 'lie')
Usotsuki - liar
Yada - (really Iiyada) no (childish)
Endearments/Insults
Ahou - dumbass
Anata - dear (what a wife calls her husband)
Baba - old woman, hag
Baka - fool, idiot
Dobe - dead last
Ero-sennin - perverted hermit
Hentai - pervert
Itooshii - beloved, lovely
Jiji - grandfather, old man
Koi - love
Koibito - lover, sweetheart
Koishii - dear, wanted, beloved, darling
