This section of the website will contain reviews of many independent, as well as some bigger budget, horror movies.
Here are two 2003 straight to video movie reviews:
-Darkwalker-
Directed by Danny Draven, who happens to be one of the best new horror directors out there today. Darkwalker takes place in Hobbs Grove during the halloween season. When the guests start to arrive for the fright fest, that's when the Darkwalker rears his ugly head for the first time and people start turning up dead all around the haunted attraction. This one truly has alot to offer. An all around good horror movie from Danny Draven's company Darkworld Films.
-Goth-
Directed by Brad Sykes. All around this film wasn't too bad. Although, it's not as good as some other Brain Damage films like Hell's Highway or Zombie Chronicles, which are two very gory films. Goth takes you on a journey with a hot goth chick played by the awesome Phoebe Dollar of Hell's Highway and Blood Sisters. She forces a young couple into being acomplices in a murder spree that takes them all over the city. I think it's worth checking out. See what you think. More straight to video reviews to come, so check back soon.
-Vampires 2 - Los Muertos-
Starring Jon Bon Jovi as Derek Bliss. This movie is very long, slow paced, and uncreative; and those are its good points. This film might earn the title of crappiest movie of 2003. Directed by the very man who brought you the worst movie in the Halloween series, Halloween 3: Season of the Witch. Tommy Lee back to screw up another horror franchise. Don't waste your time on this one.
-Freddy vs Jason-
Big budget crap fest! The only thing that could have made this movie worse would have been to drop Jason completely out of the film. The first kill by Jason was the best scene in the entire film. All I have to say about this one is please do not discrace Mr. Voorhees any further!
