New England
Flying Heron
This sculpture of a large bird flying though the woods was one of our favorites.
Stainless Steel Arcs
Bob likes art you can interact with. If you like this piece of art better with Bob in it, make Harold an offer, we can probably work something out.
Teepee
Harold is interested in many different cultures, so he built this huge teepee. He also traveled to England where a Celtic group initiated him as an Arch-Druid. Ask to see his photos.
Harold and Mason
One of the artists who displays work at the Spiral Shop is Harold's neighbor and friend, Mason Parker. Mason works in stained glass. His work is quite extraordinary.
Tale of the Cosmic Phone
We saw an old kitchen wall phone nailed to a tree in Harold's yard and asked him about it. "Well," he said, "sometimes I get people in here who are just so strait-laced that they can't see the art in all of this. When they get to be a pain, I just tell them my Cosmic Phone is ringing, pick it up and start babbling. They always get in their cars and drive away." If you are in in Vermont, don't miss this place. It's on Route 9 near the little town of Marlboro about 10 miles west of Brattleboro.
