Montreal
This is a wonderful city. It is very clean and modern. The Old City section is like a festival every day. The restaurants are outstanding and not just French/Canadian food. We found some great places featuring Italian and Hungarian cooking. In the summer, there are fireworks every night over the St. Lawrence River.
Notre Dame Cathedral.
Montreal is a city filled with beautiful churches, but Notre Dame is the queen of them all. Located in the heart of the Old City, it is huge and awe inspiring. Most of the masses are in French. There are many beautiful side chapels for private prayer. They also have a very nice gift shop with religious items and books.
Sidewalk Cafe
After Sunday morning Mass at the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral you can get an excellent breakfast of Lattes, croissants, and pastries at many sidewalk cafes in the Old City.
Sunday Afternoon in the Park.
That's our hotel in the background. It was located near the Old City and right on the edge of Chinatown. The only unpleasant part of our trip was that someone broke into our van while it was parked overnight near the hotel. The swiped our video tape player, some tapes and a few other things. But it was still a very nice visit.
