Quebec City
This wonderful walled city is like a trip for Europe. Very little English is spoken here, but it is not difficult to get by, even if you don't speak French. In the background you see the Chateau Frontenac which sits on top of a bluff overlooking the St. Lawrence River and dominating the city. It is one of the finest hotels in the world. Well worth the price of staying there.
Funicular
Quebec City has an upper town (on the bluff) and a lower town (by the river). This double-decker funicular or "inclined railway" connects the two parts of the city.
Of course you can also take the old fashioned way back to the upper town...if you don't mind towing you wife by your belt loop!
Amour!
No question about it....the continental charm of Quebec City makes it a natural for romance!
Les Messieurs Ordinaire
The Regular Guys attempt to blend in...while surveying the Plains of Abraham where the British defeated the French to gain control of Canada.
