Ontario/Quebec

This was a wonderful, relaxed drive from Ohio to Buffalo, New York and then across the border into Canada at Niagara Falls. From there we went to Hamilton, Ontario, passed through Toronto (we had visited there several times before so we did not stop this trip) and stayed in Montreal and Quebec City and finally visited Ste-Anne-du-Beaupre'. The return trip was through New England, but that's another photo series.
Niagara Falls
Fooled you! We figured you had already seen a lot of pictures of the falls. They really are worth seeing in person, but there is a lot more to see on the Canadian side of the falls including some very lovely gardens like this one. Since we were there a new Casino has been added.
Hamilton, Ontario
Speaking of gardens, just a short drive north of Niagara Falls is the city of Hamilton, home to the Royal Botanical Gardens, the only gardens of the British Royal Family located in North America. They are really spectacular. You can easily spend a whole day viewing them. Hamilton is a very nice city. There are some fine restaurants and if you like to camp, there is a great campground in Confederation Park where you can pitch a tent right on the shore at the western tip of Lake Ontario.
