Gabby Hartnett --Catcher

This Hall of Famer was the first catcher to reach the 200-HR and the 1,000-RBI mark. He was with the Cubs from 1922 to 1940 and played in 4 World Series. In 1935 he was the NL's MVP.
His "Homer in the Gloamin'", which put the Cubs in first place in a pennant deciding game on Sept. 28, 1938, against the Pittsburgh Pirates, is one of the great moments in baseball history. With the count 0-2 he hit a curve ball out of the stadium when it was almost too dark to play. The Pirates were so demoralized that they lost 10-1 the next day.
