It was approved to have the reunion there next year; the rental fee is $5 more than renting the shelter house, & there is a damage deposit, but the community building is air conditioned. John Gelhaus read from the Reed Reunion record book from 50 years ago. The oldest person at the 2005 reunion was Laureen Spitler; the youngest were Jaclyn & Katlyn Carlson. The question, "What are the 1st TV shows you remember seeing?" was answered: Elsie Nehring--Gary Moore Show; Laureen Spitler--1st color show Bonanza; Ron Frette--Lone Ranger; Wickham sisters--wrestling; Gary Mehlisch--comedies & the test pattern. A lot of old photos of relatives were looked at before & after the meal; Pat Frette had her computer & scanner. A basket bouquet of flowers was from the Hazel Gelhaus funeral from July 21. Roxanne Mehlisch had a magazine with a picture/article about a barn she renovated (click here to see the article). The reunion lasted till 3:00 p.m. |
