Justin in the beginning was very nervous around the other dogs and people but by the end of the class was playing with the other puppies and allowing the people to pet him.
We attended conformation handling classes while we patiently waited for obedience to begin.
Unfortunately a few weeks into obedience class we had to drop out due to conflicts with our show career and my job as an agility instructor. We are continuing to work on our obedience and will return to classes in the fall.
I am hoping to have Justin ready for the obedience ring by next spring.
Well some things have changed. In September we returned to obedience classes and entered into a trial prep class. We did find a few problem areas that we definately need to work on. Our recall and healing were great. The stays are posing a little bit of trouble when there are other people and dogs around. While I don't think that Justin will be ready now for the obedience ring in the spring I know that eventually he will be.
