3/21/05: This is what happens when a person gets sidetracked... They spend all their time doing homework and procuring jobs that they don't do the important stuff, like updating their website. For shame. I shall punish myself with a nice hair shirt and hitting myself in the head with a board. Or I might pass on that. Anyways, it's been a shamefully long time since my last update, but all I really have for you is some new pictures, and a new poem. I'll get around to updating the chapter of my book, the formatting just takes too dern long, and I'm too tired to do it. Enjoy what I've given you!
2/12/05: It's nice to know that in two days' time, I will be spending a nice, romantic evening with a very good looking guy. However, I have not forgotten that not too long ago, it was Singles' Awareness Day. So for that reason, I am going to post some anti-love quotes on this page come Valentine's Day for the amusement of all of you out there. Anyway, I've updated the Poem of the Day, and given you a new chapter of my story to read. Enjoy!
1/19/05: Things have sped up in the academic world... Right now I'm Lucy Ricardo in the episode where she works at the chocolate factory. I have my hands full with more tech work than I think I have had since the summer, and I didn't have homework and other classes then. This should be interesting. My point is that I may be even slower with the updates than I have been in the past... Like I could wait much longer than a month, right? Well, it could happen, but at least now some funny professor quotes have come in, so eat your heart out... I have also posted pictures of my tattoo in the pictures page, so check that out... there is a new Poem of the Day, and I have included an excerpt from my book, The Sword of the Flame. I'll be updating with a new chapter as often as I can. Let me know what you think! Enjoy!
12/30/04: I know I've been really behind with the updates on my so called "___ of the Day" stuff, but in my own defense, I've been busy. I'll probably get around to updating the opinion page when I finally snap at work. There's only so much one can take of messy Latin CD racks before you want to start chucking the detestable things at the berks who make the section in the browser messy in the first place. Anyhoo... I'll get around to some updates, I promise! Though please take note, I did update the holiday message... I'm not completely derelict... In news, Harry Potter Book 6: "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" is due out in July, and The Village is due out in January on DVD... Two things for me to be excited about. Be patient... The best is yet to come...!
12/6/04: Opinion Page has been updated with the promised rant: Christmas at Halloween. Read, and enjoy! Other updates include Poem of the Day and Featured Quote.
12/4/04: Talk about being derelict... I haven't updated in so long... Well, Proof is over, and exam week is eminent... I got a tattoo, pictures of which I will post as soon as I get some really good ones. Yes, it is a real tattoo, made with needles and everything. Didn't hurt as bad as some people think it would, and it's gotten a lot of praise so far. I won't mind being stuck with my lizard for the next 70 years. Or 80 or 90... I have to stick around to see the Vulcans... Don't laugh at me. I'll be the one laughing when they really do show up. A new opinion is in the process of being written... Christmas before Halloween... Should be up in a week or so... Been busy. Hope everyone's exam week goes well!
11/20/04: Ok, I have been really derelict in updating, but finally I've posted some new stuff. Not much going on, working on Proof, and I am tired of sweaty foot actors... Oh well... Almost Thanksgiving break. And boy do I need it. Enjoy the updates!
11/4/04: With the election being over, I have decided it was appropriate to update my opinion page. So enjoy the new read!
11/2/04: Alright, so I've been a little lax in keeping this updated... I'm trying though. Have been making some very tough life decisions this week, so this poor little page was one of the last things on my mind. But I'm back, and you'll have some new stuff to read. Don't have much to announce here, so keep it real!
10/23/04: Skin of Our Teeth is going well, even if I'm not seeing much support from the folks I know there... I'm actually quite disappointed in the people in my fraternity. Shout out to Tanya Steffenhagen for being the only brother from Alpha Phi Omega to show up. Boo to all of you other brothers who haven't bothered. You all suck monkey butt. That's from the heart. VTA is next weekend, and I get to go, I'm very excited about that, however, it means I won't be updating until I get back. I know, broke your hearts. Anyways, support the theatre department. Come see Skin of Our Teeth, or I will hunt you down and beat you with a mammoth trunk. And yes, ladies and germs, I WILL know if you're lying about being there or not. I can see everybody on stage. I will know if you're a dirty liar or not. And right now, I'm not disposed to being very forgiving. So show up, or get rotting mammoth fur in your teeth. You have been warned.
10/20/04: Skin of Our Teeth opens today, so if I don't see some major support tonight at the show, I will be upset... Y'all have had plenty of time to plan for it... It's only been advertised for weeks now... Anyhoo, come out and support. Life is going good, exhaustion agrees with me, except when I want to fall asleep in psyc.. Well, not much more I can say right now, so... My watchword for the coming week: Enjoy Yourself! (come see the show to get it)
10/12/04: It has suddenly occured to me that Skin of Our Teeth opens next Wednesday... See what happens when you don't pay attention? Thank God I go in to paint every day... You would think after this summer I would pay attention to opening dates and the calender a little more closely... School work is a nuisance that gets in the way and distracts you. I can't wait for professional theatre in NYC when I graduate (not to count my chickens, since I haven't a clue where to apply, not to mention not even being hired yet... and applying has to happen first), because I will get to be doing theatre without the homework again... Wonderful. I'm trying to keep up with the updates and all that good stuff... Just bear with me, y'all!
10/6/04: Lots of stuff has changed in the past couple weeks... My social status has changed, putting me back out onto the streets as a single white female looking for trouble in a town with no trouble to be had. Not to worry, I'm focusing now on the important stuff, like my life... Poem of the Day has been updated, sorry about the delay... Check back for new features as I add them... Gonna get creative on your ass.... Keep your eyes peeled!
9/27/04: The new Green Day album is out, and in my possession! There is nothing like listening to your favorite band as you go on a massive chocolate high. The good word is that I actually get to enjoy Oktoberfest this year without having to worry about when I have to make it to the theatre that night, because Skin of Our Teeth doesn't open until October 20th, and Oktoberfest is Saturday (hurray!!). I'm actually updating the Poem of the Day, as y'all can tell. Poem of the Day is out of my personal stash of poetry that I've written, so if you want to see a famous poet's work, just IM me at PDGroupie 10 4 to request whatever. Live long and prosper...
9/21/04: After hearing complaints that I never update, here ya go.... Work on Skin of Our Teeth has begun, and yours truly has been offered a small nonspeaking part as a painter of political quotes (John Kerry, eat your heart out). I've taken on a service project, to be advertised on this site when I get it all together. And if anyone happens to see a fragmented video of me appear on the internet, blame my roommate and her new webcam, and know that I had nothing to do with it.
9/12/04: I'm doing my best, folks, to keep y'all interested in this silly little website that depicts part of my life as a Longwood student, and as a human being. I'm sorry if the updates aren't as often as you would like, but at least the camera cord is here now, so new and interesting pictures should be showing up every once in awhile. I know you're excited about that. Keep checking back to see what new nuttiness I've included on this site!
9/1/04: Well, ladies and squirrels, classes have officially started, and the nuttiness begins. As M. Night Shymalan is an intelligent bugger, I can't get any pictures of The Village, so I will have to entertain you with nutty pictures of my roommate and me instead, as soon as my camera cord gets here in the mail. Yep, I was an idiot and left it at home. So bear with me as stuff becomes available for posting.
8/27/04: Ok folks, I'm back in good old Farmvegas, and classes are starting on Monday. I'll do my best to keep this site up to date and interesting, while still trying to be a good student. So if updates are slow, or the poem of the day has been up for a week and a half, just bear with me. I'm working on it. Have fun with the new school year!
8/21/04: There comes a point when one has to admit their obsession with a certain film. I am hereby claiming a movie obsession second only to Lord of the Rings. I am obsessed with The Village. Since I've seen it five times now, check back for possible Village pictures as they become available... In the meantime, enjoy the link to the official Village page.
8/19/04: Due to a disagreement with Freewebs over my old website, Hall of Awesomeness has been upgraded to Squirrely Wrath Version 2.0. You'll still get all the quality of Hall of Awesomeness, but you'll get more bang for your buck (like you've been paying to look at my site or something) with Squirrely Wrath Version 2.0. Check out my new vacation pictures from Bermuda, they're pretty cool.
