The second hardest thing in sports is hitting a 95 mile-an-hour fastabll. The hardest is being a Red Sox fan. Whether the ace is Jim Lonborg, Bruce Hurst, Roger Clemens or Pedro Martinez, they rarely are not contenders. But, everyone in sports knows that the Boston Red Sox have not won a world series since 1918. The Cubs and White Sox have longer streaks, but neither have ever come as close.
5-3, 10th inning, Game 6. 2-2, 2 outs. The Red Sox lose.

But this year will be different...
It was a great season, but ended horribly. It was a good run, killed off by the gump.
