Captain of the Dreadnaught
By A.N. Wilmer

The youngest captain in the Caladorian Navy, Capt. Prolieator commands one of the Empires only airships,
The Dreadnaught. A friend of the young student Gaius, Miles had grown up his entire life wanting to be a proud servant of the Empire. However, his father, Glovis Prolieator, who was a manipulative autocrat, had determined Miles path in life long before he was ever born.

Being born into a family of many brothers, Miles soon found that rumors abounded about his family and its questionable practices. First and foremost being that his father murdered any potential sisters at their birth, praising only sons. Glovis was also married several times, whith his wives meeting untimely ends, usually around the same time as their usefulness to him expired.

Miles gladly joined the military, hoping he could escape his father's twisted past. However, Miles soon found that even in the depths of the Empire, he could not escape his father's ever-watchful eyes. Before long, Miles excelled through command school, and eventually found his way to command of
The Dreadnaught. Though he believed himself to have advanced because of his skill, he soon learned that it was because of his father's connections.

Miles grew more despondent than ever. That, coupled with an eventual arranged marriage his father had planned to the wealthy merchant family of The Lady Vodo-Baas of Jit, a woman he had never met, Miles became more rebellious than ever. He soon gained a reputation in the navy as being a rogue captain.

Eventually, after gaining his new crew, Lorsha, Kaiden Vance, Ari and the rest, Miles came across members of the active resistance against the Empire. (Namely, The Seeds of Liberty.) Miles now makes efforts to join their cause. He has even taken steps to destroy the Empire's key airship factory, which brings him to today....
