FIRST BATCH CHARACTERS
Six years ago we began a journey none of us believed would be epic. Here, I try to recall those characters and their players....
The first adventure involved the PC's awaking in a small prison cell all alone, only to find that an extremely wealthy and eccentric millionaire had gathered them with the intent of creating a team capable of taking on any challenge. Whether he was right or wrong, the group assembled and soon formed their own opinions on working for Samael Chase.

CHARACTER: ALYANA:
PLAYER: Holly S.

STORY: A Dhampir who broke from her sire's grasp (Richard Stark) only to find herself in the service of Samael Chase. Never fully trusting Chase, she worked for him for a brief time before meeting her demise at the hands of Majnoon.

However, in a strange turn of events, Rowdy Yates saved her body and decapitated head and placed it in cryogenic freeze under Samael Chase's care. Later, Rowdy would call upon the aid of his friend Chief Ten-Bears of the Lakula Nation, and Alyana was returned to life.

Alyana currently resides within The City.

CHARACTER: ASHWYN
PLAYER: Jon P.

STORY: An elf bitten by a foul Bale, he fights to maintain dignity and grace despite the grip of insanity that slowly coalesces around him. Ashwyn and his compatriot Lug grew up on the streets of The City, keeping one another company and alive in the dark and forgotten places. Eventually Lug, terribly injured from a previous adventure wound up fleeing into the concrete jungle leaving Ashwyn alone. It was then that Ashwyn set out alone to find his destiny and battle his inner demons.

CHARACTER: ??? The Kender --
PLAYER: Matt P.

STORY: Who could forget The Kender? He, too, came to work for Samael Chase under dubious circumstances, set to retrieve Chase's stolen goods from the Clarkston Vagabound Dominion. After horribly electrucuting himself, and being thrown into an enemy by lug (causing the rest of the dimestore hoods to piss themselves) The Kender earned a special place in everyone's hearts.

He later entered the story, after being flung into Maldavis's apartment by the Guardian of Time, the Dragon Aguardiel.
CHARACTER: Lug, the Gnoll
PLAYER: Greg O.

STORY: Lug, Ashwyn's compatriot was never very bright, but he could smash things. In his most shining moment, as the group was deliberating on how to deal with a group of C.V.D. cultists, Lug grew impatient and threw The Kender into the room full of cultists. Standing in the doorway, roaring, the battle was quickly resolved as none were quite ready for Lug's fury.

Lug would eventually disappear, after being transported to a hospitol where he awoke and demolished everything in sight. Newspapers still site the "Werewolf" sighting. Sadly, Ashwyn never found his longtime friend again.
CHARACTER: ???? Derek ????
PLAYER: Lucas R.

STORY: Lucas played a Half-Elf who I do not recall --- Though I'm quite certain Lucas's level headedness brought the group through challenges.
CHARACTER: ????
PLAYER: Paul W.

STORY: I cannot remember Paul's first character. Hagbard Seline takes over my memory --- Does anyone remember Paul's first character???
