Kaiden Vance is an ex-City military man, and a hard-as-nails pilot. From what you can gather, he lives for the glory of combat.
He's worked for The Empire before, as a member of their Cityborne insurgency. He's never said why, except that he liked the pay and the action.
A few operations he's spoken of were "Project: Silver Arrow" and "Project: Gas Bag." In Project Gas Bag, Kaiden was shot down in combat and lost the use of the right side of his body. Today, clockwork and steam implants keep him alive.
