Lorsha Avan-Tanning was born in Gahul Lorddom at the turn of the century, and is her Lord Father's bastard child. (Marakum Gahull, for those of you who are interested.) Lorsha was wed to Lord Carant Avan when she was twelve, and became the Secuirty Chief of the CNAC Dreadnought at the age of 24.
Long under suspicion for the mysterious boiler explosion that killed the first captain and took half of her face, Lorsha was exhonerated of those crimes when the true saboteur was unmasked.
