Come experience a truly unique town. Take a figure drawing class, learn to rock climb, sip coffee with a poet, attend an  African dance workshop, hike the old haunts  of the Chiricahua Apache or see a local musician in concert. Bisbee is magical (and a little weird!) You'll love  it!

Welcome to Bisbee, Arizona!

Once the site of the one of the richest mineral  sites in the world, Bisbee was the financial and cultural center of the American Southwest. In the early 1900's, Bisbee was the largest town between St. Louis and San Francisco. It boasted the finest hotels, its own stock exchange, the trimmings of turn-of-the-century high society, and a thriving red light  district.

Bisbee and the surrounding area are steeped in history. The Apache Wars were fought in the area. Coronado searched here for  the Seven Cities of Gold. Doc Holliday, Wyatt Earp and the Clanton Gang shot it  out at the famous OK Corral in nearby Tombstone, Arizona. Some say the ghosts  of Geronimo and Pancho Villa still haunt the High Desert. Today, Bisbee is a  haven for artists, poets, writers, and an eclectic mix of shamans, bohemians, and entrepreneurs. It has been called one of the nation's best small arts communities and one of the nation's ten most quirky places to  live.
