Sept. 16th: Hello! It's been a few weeks since I last updated this site. We are at 8 weeks and 4 days. Well, the Ugly monster Morning Sickness has made it's presence known in a big way, which is part of the reason I have not updated the site until now. For the last three weeks, I have basically been a big lump! A big sick lump. It started with feeling nauseous when I was preparing food, and has just escalated from there. It's been pretty hard to keep food down, or to even feel like eating anything. Hopefully this will be passing very shortly! Poor Ben has been my knight in shining armor. He has been absolutely amazing, and I know for a fact if he were not here, I would be going crazy!
Enough about the negative! We had our first Dr's appointment September 3rd. It was a lot of poking and prodding, question answering, and information. We have another appointment on September 23rd and we are hoping to hear a heartbeat, maybe to see the little "melon ball" as we have affectionately named it!
I have been in classes now since the end of August, and I am really enjoying school... trying to make it through classes without getting sick is another matter! However I love being a student! |

August 25th: Hello again! Glad to see people are visiting the site! Well, We are at about 5 weeks and 3 days, and I feel great! (and so does Ben! he hasn't experienced any uncomfort, or any morning sickness)
I have felt a little tired, and nauseous only once. Other than that I have felt normal! The only thing I have been doing differently is eliminating running in the heat and humidity. Boo Hoo!
Of course the diet has changed drastically. No more nachos at midnight, or Hardee Thickburgers for lunch. Now my diet seems to consist of twigs, berries, and meat! Not really, but close enough! Plenty of fiber, whole grains, soy protien, fruits and veggies. Ben has not been protesting too loudly, but I know he misses our junk food binges!
We are thinking about moving to a bigger 2 bedroom apartment in the next few months. We have come to realize that our tiny one room may get way too small quickly!
As if all this weren't enough, I am starting classes in one day! I can't wait, but I have a feeling there won't be too many other pregnant and married women in my classes! I'm not worried though. I just can't wait to set the curve in all my classes! WATCH OUT INDIANA STATE! |

August 19th: Hello all! Hopefully I will be faithful in keeping this section up, so those of you who we don't get to talk to on a regular basis can stay informed as to the progress of "Baby Blickenstaff".
We have our first doctor's appointment on September 3rd, and I think this will help solidify to us that we are REALLY having a baby!
Here are some Questions and Answers that you might want to know!
