| May 15/04 Influence is one of the most powerful forces in the world. You can influence people to do almost anything you can think of. Especially those who are close to you. you can influence them to do whatever you think is right. This is because in a friendship there is alot of trust, and you can see the person eye to eye. We all know that influencing someone we care about, especially in their time of need, to what we want, rather to what they want is wrong. But we still do it anyway. As well, another thing that is very present in this world bullshiters. there are too many people who go through life and bullshit everything. Some people i know, it is now all i expect from them. But then there are some people who like to go around and spread rumours and say shit behind peoples back. And nothign pisses me off more than that. These people act childish doing whatever they want. They think they are the hot shit in town. Now this is true, only because all of the "real" people are all gone away to university doing things with their lives. So these people sit back thinking they have it all, when really they have nothing. Cause you know when you truly have everything in life. But these people should stop living in the past and grow the fuck up. Rumours and bullshiting, and talking shit behind peoples back, and stupid childish actions aren't cool. And when you look back at all this shit, then you know who really was the mature people, and who are still just kids. |
| June 14/04 - Politics is one of the most important things in our democratic system. The power to choose your government is an extreme privilege and responsibility. With this in mind, it's a wonder on how and why young people don't vote. If it is so important, then why are they not voting and helping make decisions on how the country will work, and on the future it will take. This is the same future where these young people will be living. Being a young person, I can see some of the problems. The leaders are not connecting with young people. They seem to not be taking an interest in the issue of young people. I personally am taking an interest, even though it is at the extent of being viewed as unpopular, or not cool with most of the population my age. I don't particularly care, as I feel that if it is unpopular to care about your country and to be patriotic, then I am guilty. And if it is true, then the dark days are upon us. Young people complain about not being connected with, but what young person has yet to go and connect with a polities or taken and interest in political issues. Not many. So when those polls open, make sure your there voting. We could end up with more Liberal scoundrels in office, and then everyone will ask the question, why did we vote them in. You can change the future, and your vote will count. |
