NETWORK OF LATIN AMERICAN ORGANISATIONS IN EUROPE Pilot website for an education and cultural network. The objective of these pages is to provide a space where existing organisations - latin american and latinamericanist - can access information about their counterparts in Europe and develop collaborative educational and cultural projects. Knowledge can be shared via an open-access electronic public library. Please click on: 1. Type of organisation. What type of Latin American or Latin Americanist organisation is your association or which one are you looking for? (Note the next page gives a pilot example of two cultural associations: one in Paris and the other in London - click on link for specific example. It also shows a schematic diagram of possible future members of the network). 2. Pilot schemes and projects. View a list of pilot schemes or add information about projects you or your association have been involved with. The example in this pilot explores the iterative relay method. 3 Multimedia and library development groups. Join groups developing content / education materials / supporting software. Get information about groups which are developing different forms of media and what the current best practice is. Contribute to a discussion on a proposal for a common electronic public library. Catalogues of links: LANIC, the Latin American Network Information Centre | REDIAL (Latin American documents) | LAB (European gateway/search) | Copac (research libraries catalogue) | other libraries | Telnet | IHEAL | list of useful sites re Latin America (French) | ILAS (note: not all links take you to real content. Try open access journals if the sources you require are locked up in a library you do not have access to or is the other side of Europe.)
You have been doing this for years and your work is not recognised. Click here.
This is a trial website for the proposed 'epistemic' network of Latin American organisations in Europe. Organisations are invited to archive on this site records of their meetings and events both in order to have a historical record and in order to share knowledge more widely through the Latin American community and further afield.
